A Moment to Cherish

                  Hammock
No matter who you are, there are simple moments that you have experienced that you will always remember and cherish
. Recently I had a moment like this that was initiated by my 2 year old daughter. I was outside working on our flower beds when Mary came up and said, “Daddy, let’s swing in a hammock.” Well, I just couldn’t resist that invitation. (And I was thankful that Brian Moore had recently come over to help me get the hammock hung up.) So we went and lay in the hammock and talked, sang songs, and played “Where is Thumbkin . . .”

Have you had any memories or moments lately that will stick with you? I was reminded that day in the hammock how much we need to be thankful for those simple yet impactful moments in life. One of the many blessings that we need to encourage one another with, and also be thankful to God.

Hitting a 300 yard drive only to know that Beau Eckert will hit it 302 yards!!!

    Ha! Ha!

Actually, Sean saying, “OK, just give me one pop! and make it soft!” when he was supposed to give 5 pops for not listening…

    Great moments, thanks for sharing…
My girls are always coming asking if they can help with whatever I am doing (I hope this quality continues till they are 20!). The other day I was preparing our garden bed for the vegetable plants and I said they could help me pull the weeds out. They started in on it and were having so much fun together…after awhile I look over and the whole bed is weeded very well! I love it when the joy of work and togetherness come out of our kids…that is a treasure of God working in their hearts.
